Redcliffe Musical Theatre’s production of “We Will Rock You”, performing at The Redcliffe Entertainment Centre March 1-3, will feature a powerhouse 7 piece band led by Redcliffe musician and guitar maestro, Lachy Stewart.
Lachy’s 20 year career has taken to him to various parts of the world and he has performed with renowned artists including Jimmy Barnes, Powderfinger, Regurgitator and Grinspoon, as well as playing for the UN troops in East Timor.
Lachy will be accompanied in the “We Will Rock You” band by fellow Peninsula professionals, Andrew Hazzard, Sarah Whiting and Bevan Bancroft.
Redcliffe audiences will be thrilled by this awe-inspiring production which is based on the songs of Queen with a book by Ben Elton (The Young Ones, Blackadder, Popcorn).
Elton fashioned this hilarious futurist comedy around more than 24 of Queen’s biggest hit songs including We Are The Champions, Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Don’t Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites The Dust and of course, We Will Rock You.
The role of Galileo will be played by TIM KENNEDY, Scaramouche by KALEY JONES, Killer Queen by NAOMI DROGEMULLER – and she won a Gold Coast Palm Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2018 for this role, Khashoggi by RICHARD RUBENDRA and the role of Buddy by JAMES REID.
